Acupuncture in Reading
The roots of acupuncture can be traced back to the Stone Age, with stone acupuncture needles dating back to 3000 BC. The first mention of acupuncture in its modern sense, however, can be found in the Yellow Emperor's 'Classic of Internal Medicine (History of Acupuncture) which was compiled around 250 BC.
Acupuncture consists of the insertion and manipulation of very fine needles into specific areas of the body. Acupuncture has been proven to relieve pain and to provide therapeutic remedies to patients. The needles are far finer than clinical hypodermic needles and are therefore often painless.
From our acupuncture clinic in Reading, we are able to carry out acupuncture procedures in a heavily regulated and professional environment. Only trained acupuncturists are used and all practices are regulated by the British Acupuncture Council.
Our Reading clinic is based at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Castle Street, Reading.
